The importance of being Ernest

My friend Min teaches English to foreign students. She uses drama as a means of teaching the language and is currently working towards a presentation of Oscar Wilde’s ‘ The importance of being Ernest’. Unfortunately one of her lead actors has gone down with chicken pox. A brief moment of panic as Min realises the show may be doomed… Then an invitation… ‘Jonny, you could do it!’

So I have 48 hours to come to terms with the play and the role of Jack / Ernest. It is Tuesday, the curtain rises on Thursday evening. Crikey.

We are now back in Oxford after our fantastic trip to Edinburgh, which we packed a hell of a lot into in the three days we were there. (Click the photo titles below!)

Today is a bit of an in between day for me, I have to go into town and sort out all of the paperwork… Bank account, National Insurance number, milk and bananas, blah blah blah…
